Eobard’s legs moved faster; eyes illuminated red as he felt the power of the negative speedforce flowing through him. In that moment, he felt infinite. Eobard felt unstoppable.
Yes…yes…yes…! Today would be the day he would destroy Barry Allen. He would take everything away from the Flash. Rip his heart, his life, into tiny infinitesimal pieces that Barry would have no hope in putting back together. Each piece slipping through his fingers, and he would cry, beg Eobard to undo what he had done. Eobard would be victorious, and he would relish in the victory.
So caught up in his daydream, his fantasy, as Eobard ran through Central City that he did not notice the trap so cleverly laid out for him. Sprinting down a side street at speeds faster than the human eye could comprehend, he stepped into it. His body came to a sudden and abrupt stop. If it were not the strength in his body fortified by his suit his shins surely would have snapped from his momentum as he was lurched forward.
“What-?” Eobard looked down in confusion at the sticky substance holding his feet firmly in place. Was this…was this glue? He tried to move his legs, but they remained planted. Eobard tried again, lurching his body in a direction. Yet that only made him fall on his side.
What was this dreadful thing?! Eobard, Professor Zoom, the Reverse Flash, stuck in a glue trap?! His body began to vibrate, as he tried to phase out of it, but, that too, was hopeless. A loud cry of frustration left him as he thrashed around with his free limbs flailing about in the air like a scurrying bug.
He heard footsteps behind him. It had to be the person who set this here! Oh when he got out of this trap, there would be hell to pay for the person who set it and made a fool of him!
“What is this game you're playing at?! Who are you?!”
Eobard demanded as he tried to turn behind him to see who it was, but to no avail, as the glue held him firmly in place.
