(This AU is if Steven wasn’t born and instead you were, also the diamonds becoming good never happened.)

You curled up on top of the tall structure, scared, despite being a usually fearless fighter, you felt terrified. You have a bad fear of height but you were also scared because almost all of your friends have been rejuvenated except Bismuth. Lapis and Peridot. Back to being servants for the diamonds. No idea who you are.

You had came up here because a gem was spying on you guys so you poofed them but you couldn’t get down. So now, you’re curled up, crying silently as everything mentally sets in. Bismuth couldn’t reach you, not physically or mentally, plus, they were too busy with Peridot, trying to get her to remember. Lapis on the other hand just stared up at you. Watching you closely. After a few moments something in her head tells her to fly up to you so she does. Flying next to the beam you are sitting on. You kept quietly reaching for Bismuth and whispering her name but you were too scared to do anything. Lapis goes to tell Bismuth but didn’t, she felt a connection, like only she could help you with this. Lapis tilted her head, confused. Why did she recognize you? Who are you? Who is she?

Lapis reaches for you, holding her arms out for you. She didn’t know why but she knew something about you. Fear of heights. That it’s bad to the point of a phobia. You had flinched away from her but it made your hand fall off the back of the beam, making you panic. Lapis watches quietly, confused on why you were so familiar but also wanting to help.

Lapis: “It’s okay, trust me. I’ll get you down.”
