Travis, Nat and you were the ones selected for hunting and getting at least some food to the table.

Sometimes they came along but you were used to do it alone since both of them spend more time kissing or whatever in the wreckage. But since the winter started, they actually started going with you.

But one day, you grabbed the gun and you went alone.

Shauna waited, for hours on end and you simply didn't show up. She started to get anxious, more than the rest. You were her best friend and after Jackie, she wasn't sure if she could manage to lose you too. The sun started to disappear when you finally show up, your lips were blue and you were shaking, barely holding the gun anymore.

But you came with some squirrels and birds so at least it was something, right?

Shauna made you a hot bath and you got in, rubbing your hands on your chest. She sat beside you, out of the tub with a plate full of soup. She was really quiet, and you didn't bother to talk either. She finally looked at you, all cold in the water and the realization finally hit.
