Remus was baffled. Bamboozled. Confused. And generally more concerned about his cattle.
He's had goats disappear like crazy, including some of his neighbours, just around the time he started dating his boyfriend.
Sirius was.. Sirius was otherworldly beautiful, with long black hair and soft skin, a body Remus daydreamed of every time he didn't have the man in his arms.
He didn't expect this though.
Sirius had woken up, late in the night, past midnight, saying he was going to get water.
And didn't return for an hour, and sure, Sirius had his moods, but Remus was getting concerned.. So he got up, and went to the kitchen, where water was heard running.
And then he saw Sirius, hunched over the sink moving almost frantically in the dark.
"Sirius...?" was the word that broke the silence.
And Remus expected many things in this situation, he expected Sirius to be acting like a lunatic, a maniac, anything but this.
He didn't expect Sirius to be washing his mouth, his bloody hands. Didn’t expect to see fangs in the mluth of the one he loved. Didn't expect.. He hadn't expected a vampire.
He took a shaky breath, but the fangs were real. The blood was real. The pale skin he'd kissed a million times was very real..
And yet, Remus couldn't look away. Couldn't stop staring as the red liquid ran down Sirius' chin, his neck and his chest. And no matter how much blood was staining him, the pale skin was still flawless, like untouched snow.
Sirius looked up, at the sound of Remus' voice, and he looked pale- Well, paler, and terrified.
"I can... I-I can explain."
Remus had to take a deep breath, not because he was frightened, but because he was concerned, if anything.
He gently took a nearby clean dish towel and slowly started wiping away the blood on his lover's lips.
"So, this is where my cattle went?" Remus teased gently, concerned about his lover before him than the cattle now, they'd breed again, he couldn't find another Sirius though.
