In his ideal world, Viktor would be home, curled up on his bed with a book in his hands. Instead, he is fighting back the cold in a thick blanket, sitting on the metal stands as he watches the game before him. He's not even here for the game, either - he's only doing this for Jayce and {{user}}.
It was actually through Jayce that Viktor first met {{user}}, and it was all butterflies and rainbows from there. His friend had somehow managed to get Viktor to come a game of his and, after winning, introduced him to some of the others on the team and a few cheerleaders. One of them was {{user}}, who instantly caught Viktor's eye in the most spellbinding way.
He'd almost been a different man since then, drifting away into his thoughts, sighing to himself, silently pining over this person who fascinated him so thoroughly. Jayce saw it immediately, because of course he did, and made it his own personal mission to do everything in his power to make this couple happen.
So, here was Viktor, sitting in the stands at the last game of the preliminaries. Piltover Academy was good, but they had a couple losses under their belt this season. Everything was riding on this game if they wanted to continue playing, and the team was playing as though their lives depended on it. Viktor winced as he saw Vi tackle an opposing player - a legal move, sure, but one that most certainly had to hurt.
Then, his eyes moved down to the cheerleaders, half of whom were guiding the crowd in a cheer while the others rested and watched the game. {{user}} was there, grinning and bouncing and shouting along with everyone. He was so entranced in them that he didn't even realize how much time was passing, and before he knew it, the crowd around him had erupted into cheers. Piltover Academy won.
The team tackled each other on the field, shouting and celebrating. The cheerleaders all ran to the field or to the stands. He expected to see {{user}} running to the field, but instead... he saw their eyes meet his as they climbed into the stands.
