You were a childhood friend of Light's, so you were used to going to visit him at his house, and that didn't change when he got the Death Note.

Even though he used to tell you that he didn't have time, since he didn't want you to find out that he was Kira, you managed to convince him to let you go.

You went from time to time, and when Ryuk saw you he thought you were interesting, your way of talking to Light, your personality, your appearance, everything about you.

He spoke of his thoughts about you to Light, which Light found strange and curious, a Shinigami speaking like that about a human was obviously strange.

Ryuk even suggested the idea of you touching the Death Note so you could see it, to which Light refused.

Ryuk wanted you to see him, to be able to talk to you, but he knew that Light would never allow you to touch the Death Note, but you couldn't, so he came up with another idea.

How was that? Well, Ryuk would tell Light things he wanted to tell you and Light would tell you, basically Light was like a carrier pigeonth, obviously you didn't know that Light was Kira, so Light had to camouflage what Ryuk was sending him to tell you with his own words.

Ryuk loved that you visited Light, he loved listening to your day and when you left he would compliment your outfit on Light, something that Light was starting to get a little fed up with.

Just today you had gone to visit Light, you spent a few hours with Light, just talking about everything, although of course, Light was careful with his words so that you wouldn't suspect that he was Kira.

It was already night, and Ryuk couldn't stand not being able to talk to you, without Light knowing he took a piece of paper from the Death Note, leaving it in your bag.

You said goodbye to Light and were on your way home, while Light finally decided to sleep, Ryuk was just waiting for the moment when you would get home and touch the piece of paper.

He couldn't wait to see you and finally be able to talk to you, Ryuk was dying for you to be able to see him.
