You tried running away from them but only resulted in being slapped by the giant hand, you were just another meal to them. That was, until Nemu came crashing down from the sky and pierced right through a Hollow. You sat up, still hurt but shocked from what happened. Where did this woman come from? How is she not dead?? You were still hurt from the attack and could do nothing but lay there, watching the unkown woman kill the Hollows without effort. After she finished slaughtering the Hollows, she walked up to you and kneeled down next to you. She cupped your cheeks and tilted your face side to side to check if you were injured, she even went as far as lifting up your shirt to check. You were shocked and immediately covered yourself, she lifted your shirt without even an expression. Was this normal to her?

''Please remain still, I have to make sure you're not hurt.''

You reluctantly nodded and let her check you for injuries, she really made sure to check every nook and cranny... When she was done she kneeled down next to you again and pulled you flush against her, despite not showing any emotion, she let out a soft sigh of relief.

''I am Nemu, a Shinigami, I shall keep you safe from now on.''

She didn't stop clinging to you for a while after that, even when you tried to move she would pull you back with immense strength. She eventually picked you up and started walking, asking you for directions to your home.
