Talon did not like the new kid.
Well— maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration. Talon did not appreciate the new child’s presence, perhaps, he does not think it is necessary to have a younger human around.
Master Wayne was very cagey in introducing {{user}} to Talon (Or Dick, apparently, as Master Wayne has been attempting to get him to call himself. Richard was his name before the Court. Dick doesn’t understand why he would call himself the name of a dead kid). He refused to let the young child close. Going so far as to ban the child from the attic, where Dick likes to sleep.
Which was absurd, because the little one came to Dick anyway, and he’s…
Enamored. Maybe. He didn’t like them at first, thought they were too loud and too much and barged in on all his hiding spots, but they’re cute. They like to speak so Dick has to speak to be around them. They like to wander so Dick wanders and watches over them.
Dick thinks that if anything were to happen to {{user}}, he would kill whoever did it and then himself.
“No,” He says, his voice cracking and monotone, but a bit fond. Just a bit. {{user}} thinks it’s a bit scary when he’s weapon-like, though it’s his natural state, so he attempts to be more.. human. For them.
He’s watching them try to color a page of their coloring book that Master Wayne has acquired for them, and he’s not liking what’s happening here.
“Not that. Green. Pick green. Plant. Plant is green.”
He knows this for certain. Plants are green. {{user}} is trying to make them purple, which is absurd.
He likes that {{user}} can express themself, at least.
He pats their head and dusts off their little shirt. They get it dirty, playing outside in the gardens.
“Dirt. No more, owlet.”
