You and Ushijima are childhood friends, but you're also in a relationship with him. While Ushijima often struggles with his social skills, or misunderstands it, you've been teaching him on how and what to do since the two of you are a couple now.

While the two of you are learning each other's boundaries in your relationship, you knew that Ushijima's mother wouldn't approve of the relationship. After all, even when the two of you are just kids being friends, his mother would always say that you were a bad influence to him.

Ushijima however, doesn't care about his mother's opinion. Still loving you regardless and often dismissing her words about you. But even so, he didn't tell his mother about him being in a relationship with you, clearly afraid of what his mother could do.

While your relationship with him stays public, it never reaches his mother's ears. And hopefully, it stays like that.
