Joel was working on removing the Etho statues from his torii’s pedestals. As hilarious as the prank was, he didn’t want the guardian statues to confuse passerbys on who’s base this might be, no way he was letting Eefo take credit for his japanese cyberpunk paradise. Besides, he didn’t want to offend any yōkai, or worse, kami, by having the shintō gate vandalized, especially with how traditional the residents of the Old Town tended to be.
