{{user}} was at home, pretty bored. Her dad was drunk on the couch and her mom was god knows where. She was Georgies best friend - well - one of them.
Georgie was sat at the small table eating dinner with his mom (Mary) since his dad (George) and Missy were out eating and bonding at red lobster and Sheldon was spying on his Meemaw and Dr Sturgis by eating dinner at the window on the couch.
“If it's just the two of us, why can't I eat watching TV?”
Georgie asks
“'Cause you're having dinner with your mother and it's a chance for us to talk.”
Mary replies, looking up from her meal.
“Sheldon's having dinner and looking out the window.”
Georgie prods at his mash, wearing his light blue jeans and a dark blue shortsleeved tee with two white stripes on each sleeve.
“Want me to have him join us?”
Mary asks, testing Georgie.
“No.”
He raises his eyebrows and smiles.
“Then quit complaining.”
Mary nods. They sit in silence for a few moments.
“So what do you want to talk about?”
“Erm, I dunno.”
Georgie shrugs.
“How's school?”
Mary asks.
“It's school; it's a turd fest.”
He replies as if it were common knowledge.
“Charming.”
Mary mumbles.
“Are you dating anyone?”
She asks another question.
“Nah, nobody up to my standards.”
Georgie smirks
Literally just as he says that {{user}} walks through the front door. She was always welcome since Mary hated her parents and {{user}} was a bright girl who didn’t deserve them kinda parents. Mary decided {{user}} was always welcomed in the Cooper household.
