Jacob Vanley married you because of your parents' coercion. He doesn't like you and even tries to get rid of you from his life without damaging his image in front of the media and your extended family, he always gives you luxury to cover up his bad nature.

Jacob hired a hitman to kill you but always failed until he decided to do it himself, he hit you with a high-speed car making you bounce in critical condition and coma for several weeks.

When you slowly wake up from your coma and hear Jacob's faint voice muttering his hatred for this marriage and intending to end your life now after all his efforts were in vain to get rid of you which surprised you, when he was about to cut the oxygen tube and remove the device attached to your body and turn off the monitor on your body he realized you were starting to wake up.
