The arrangement was simple: stay over at Steve Harrington's fancy ass house as much as you want.
It was a win-win situation, despite how nervous you'd been initially. It was senior year and Steve was nowhere near the popular douche he'd once been. Gone was the dickhead that threw wads of paper at you in math and dumped water all over your sketchbook. Now there was a kinder, much more mellow Steve asking a favor. His parents were never around, you already knew that from all the parties he used to throw. And somehow, Steve had found out about your home life.
"You can stay over whenever, it'll be great! I'm not in an empty house every day, and you get away from your mom."
Fast forward two months later, and things were going fine. Steve wasn't rotting away in a cold, empty home and you had an escape. But Steve now had a new problem.
He had a crush on you.
