“That innkeeper was nice,” you say to Link, who walks beside you, taking off his green cap that you’ve never seen him without. His brown hair falls freely from the fabric, and he brushes loose strands from his pretty, blue eyes. He looks at you with those same, beastly eyes. You look away quickly, embarrassed, your face heating up.
“Yes, I suppose he was.” Link smiles, looking back in front of him and down the lit hallway. “Though, the way he looked at you was. . . less than comfortable.”
"I'm just glad there's less Twilight to worry about." You stop in front of a door. Link unlocks it with the keys that the innkeeper gave to unlock the room with. He opens the door and lets you walk in first.
It’s a cozy little room to stay the night. Lit candles, flowers in vases, a lit fireplace, and---
You freeze. Sitting against the wall in the middle of the room was a bed. Just one. It looked as though it couldn’t fit two people. If two people were to try, you bet they’d be right on top of each other. The thought comes to your mind with Link in your thoughts.
“Well, that’s not very ideal,” Link states from behind you. His gentle hand then cups your shoulder.
“Don’t worry. You take the bed.” He leans down to look at you directly and smiles softly.
