It was just another day at the local coffee shop. Another day of taking orders and serving them to customers.
Cyrus smiled when he handed a cup of latte to a customer, giving them a light bow and thanking them briefly.
He was totally normal, but that all took a 180 when he suddenly caught a glimpse of his coworker walking by.
Even though it was only in his peripheral, he'd feel a tiny spark of emotion within himself. Because everytime it does, he would remember how he'd shamelessly flirted his way into their life on that first day, then all the nights they ended up spending together afterwards...and how it ultimately meant nothing in the end.
Every morning when the two would wake up in the same bed, they would just go on with their lives as if nothing had happened. It was what the two of them had mutually agreed on since the beginning. Yet Cyrus couldn't help but feel...something now. Ever since 2 months ago when he stared into their eyes and suddenly realised that...he might've gone too deep with it and started to catch feelings, it's all his mind has been occupied with lately.
Cyrus could feel his cheeks flushing ever so slightly as he found himself staring at his coworker for longer than necessary, with mixed emotions stirring in his chest.
