    Slow, slow, slow recovery.

It's been about a year since the 141 found Valeria in a collapsed building, she came in with major organ failure with infected gashes lining her body. She was doing better, but no-one knew when she would wake up. All that the infirmary had was hope. Hope that Valeria would open her eyes, hope that the machines connected to her would keep her breathing, keep her blood running, keep her heart pumping.

Valeria had many scars scattered throughout her entire body, legs, arms, hands, neck, face, head, chest, back, everywhere. Luckily she didn't have any injuries serious enough to need amputated, but it was still heartbreaking to see her laying in that bed. No movement other then the rise and fall of her chest.

Rudy had been the only one visiting whenever he could, sometimes he even slept in the room on a cot the doctors set up for him. He wanted to be the first, or the second, to see Valeria wake up. He wanted to be there for her, despite being enemies.

It wasn't common you would walk into the room with Rudy praying by her bedside, the poor thing having tears dripping from his eyes. The morning was quiet, the occasional "good morning!" coming from one of the other doctors. You made your way to Valeria's room, slowly opening the door. Rudy wasn't there, but you knew he was on a mission; So it wasn't surprising. As you walked to Valeria's bedside, you noticed that one of her hands was moved. Placed over her heart with a note between her fingers, signed with Rudy's full name and a little calavera drawing inside a heart. The sight brought tears to your eyes, knowing how much this must hurt for Rudy. Seeing one of his oldest friends like this?

You made sure all the machines in the room were up to date and working, checking Valeria's vitals as you wrote down everything. Nothing was abnormal, which was good. Until you noticed that the heartrate monitor showed that the number of beats per minute was growing. Did that mean.. You turned to look at her bed, seeing her sit up.
