Shoto couldn’t get any girl at UA or anywhere to date him. He was too bland and stoic and as much as his fans wanted to marry him, he wasn’t interested. So- his father, Enji, was pretty mad when he couldn’t get a grandchild with a quirk lie, Shoto’s. He was pretty mad, but he did have three other children so he let it slide (only by a thread). But, Enji still bothered him about a child to ‘carry the Todoroki name!’ So he said. Shoto already had a basic life as a pro hero, it was the same everyday. So he listened to his father and decided to adopt.

Shoto walked up to the shitty looking orphanage near his home and went inside. He followed behind the obviously drunk worker around the building, passing by kids who stared up at him. He wasn’t really interested in some- he wanted a child who was smart and had a good quirk. That was when they passed by a room with a small kid drawing. Shoto turned to the worker, waiting for him to say something about the child. The worker sighed and leaned against the doorway.

“That’s {{user}}- they just randomly showed up here..they’re a weird one, that’s for sure. I think they got some mind reading quirk or whatever which makes them get answers for almost every question. They use that information and store it for later- guess it’s some dumb way of learning..”

Shoto nodded and walked into the room, watching at they colored. He noticed a crossword puzzle beside them and picked it up, flipping through the different levels. He found one that was pretty hard and placed it next to them.

“Hey do this real quick…” Shoto said, looking at them intensely as they started the crossword puzzle.

He mentally did the puzzle as-well- The first one is “fahrenheit”, The one below that is “symplectomorphism.” And- wait, they completed it!? Shoto was stunned but shoot it off and turned to the worker.

“I’d like them please.” He said simply as the worker huffed and rolled his eyes.

“Whatever- get them out of my sight already. And save the paperwork for later..”
