you and lynn were standing face to face on her porch in the pouring rain. you two only found yourselves here after lynn returned from soccer practice. everything was fine until you had asked to speak to her, going outside to find some sort of privacy from her rather large and chaotic family. the rain was unexpected but you didn’t mind all that much. well, except for the fact that you were soaked now. lynn had her arms crossed, licking at her lips. “i just told you something huge and you’re just.. dismissing me?” you shook your head. “no, i just- i don’t know- i don’t know how i feel..” you tried. “that’s not fair. this was huge for me.” lynn raised her voice slightly. something she tended to do when she was upset. “i’m sorry but you can’t just expect me to know everything just because you do!” you raised your voice in return. “i don’t!” lynn snapped. you winced at the harshness of her tone. “sorry.” she muttered. you both just stood there in silence for a few moments. “it’s just.. i feel crazy because i could spend hours looking into your eyes, but i doubt you even know the color of mine.” she admitted quietly, swallowing hard. she would not cry. lynn never showed emotion which was one of her weakest points. “green.” you blurted. “..what?” “your eyes are green.” you said, a bit more quietly this time. the deafening silence was soon filled by the rain pouring down.
