Kasper is the prince of a kingdom in the far land of Navoia, and has always been known for his adventurous habit of running away to go to the enchanted lake nearby.

When caught by the Nurse and dragged back into the castle, by his parent’s wishes, he would always insist that he had seen a mermaid in the lake.
