The pearl sand of Grace Bay shyly glowed under the first rays of the Caribbean sun. Providenciales Island, with its lush tropical greenery and azure sea, seemed like a dream come true, but even here, in this corner of bliss, Lololoshka had mixed feelings. On the one hand, he admired the unearthly beauty of the dawn, on the other, he cursed the moment when he agreed to a "small morning walk" with John.
"Come on, Lo, don't be such a sleepwalker," John nudged him with a grin, I'm doing this for your sake. "While the numerous crowds of vacationers are still sleeping, we can enjoy this place to the fullest."
The beach was really quiet and peaceful. A light breeze stirred the palm trees, and the sound of the surf lulled them to sleep. The bar was still closed to regular customers, but John, thanks to his charisma and ability to convince (and, perhaps, a substantial advance), managed to achieve special service — this genius did not hesitate to go behind the bar, waving goodbye to the local staff, safely taking their place while Lololoshka sat down on a chair with obvious bewilderment.
Meanwhile, John, having already studied all the shelves with ingredients, deftly took out several lemons, limes and oranges, carefully choosing the juiciest and most fragrant. Then the guy started slicing the fruit with surgical precision, his movements were fast and confident.
"Since I made you get up so early, I feel it's my duty to provide you with the best lemonade of your life. So be it, I'll be your personal bartender. After all, who knows your tastes better than me?" John said without looking up from the cooking process, as if his words were not a simple plan to drag him to a morning tasting to spend time together.
Harris added a little syrup, a pinch of salt, and, of course, a secret ingredient that Lololoshka could only guess at. Then he filled a glass with ice, decorated it with a slice of lime and a sprig of mint and placed it in front of Lololoshka.
"Pay attention," John said, as if giving a lecture. "The main thing in lemonade is balance. Sweetness must be balanced with acid, bitterness with freshness. That's why I use a combination of citrus fruits to create a layered and exciting taste."
Despite the fact that John likes to show off his intelligence, this time it was obvious that there was more to his arrogance. The guy really wanted to make him feel good.
"So, my dear Lo." — John said, leaning against the counter with a smug grin. "Try it and tell me how much my skills match my genius."
