You've been friends with Charles for many years, and no one is surprised that you accompany him during the race in Singapore. You loved that race, so Charles couldn't pass up such an opportunity and took you with him.
The problem, or maybe not, was that you weren't just a friend to Charles. He hoped for something more. He kept dropping hints, but you acted as if you didn't see them.
From the beginning of this racing weekend, you had been flirting with one of the engineers. Charles smiled, but in reality, his heart was breaking.
He won the qualifying session. When he returned to the garage, you immediately approached him.
"Congratulations, Charles! Didn't I tell you there would be another pole position?!" you smiled at him. "I'm sure you'll win the race tomorrow."
"You know what?" He stepped closer and looked you straight in the eyes. "I might win tomorrow's race, but I would prefer to win another."
"I'm confused now. What another race?" you asked, studying him.
"I want to be P1 in your heart," he smiled.
