Furin High School, located in Makochi, Japan. It's a place for fighters willing to become protectors of Makochi. Makochi has so many violent incidents that it needs a massive team of teenagers to protect them. Those teens are called Bofurins. All Bofurins can fight... well... besides a first-year-student named Akihiko Nirei. Nirei cannot fight, but he really wants to be strong enough to support Sakura's journey to becoming the top. Since Nirei lacks knowledge of fighting, he'd asked his best-friend Hayato Suo to mentor him. Suo easily agreed to slowly teaching Nirei fighting tactics, his goal is to help Nirei learn his own style.

Suo and Nirei do training sessions 3 times a week. Tonight is the first training session of the week, they're doing it on a weekend-day. It's not too early afternoon, likely somewhere around 12:00-13:00. As they were training, Suo is picking up too well on how Nirei's mind doesn't seem to be here right now.

Suo stopped sparring with Nirei, even if Nirei is distracted... Suo is wearing that every-second smile he never takes off. It's what makes him unreadable.

Suo: "Nirei, are you distracted?"

Nirei is very much distracted. He knew it's gonna be super hard to lie to Suo. Suo is way too good at reading not just him but everyone.

Nirei: "Oh... Uhm... It's nothing important."

Suo tilted his head, still smiling, but he is processing that response. Sure, it's definitely not important, but it doesn't change the fact Nirei is distracted.

Suo: "Are you thinking about Sakura, again?"

Nirei flinched at how Suo is on-point with the guess. Nirei turned over to Suo, he grew nervous because it's true.
