You were the only daughter of Francis and Gabriella. When you were a baby, your parents left you with a trusted babysitter to celebrate their anniversary abroad—but they never came back. Raised by your grandparents, you grew up believing they’d gone to Romania years ago.
At nineteen, after graduation, you decided to visit Romania—not to find your parents, but their graves. You told your grandparents you were going to Scotland; your grandmother believed in the supernatural, and your grandfather was too frail to worry. So if they knew, they'd never allow you to go.
When you arrived, you noticed something strange—barely anyone ventured out in the daylight. By nightfall, however, the town came alive. As you stepped out of your hotel, a female butler stopped you.
“Miss, I advise you to stay indoors tonight. The citizens prefer nights without tourists.", said a female butler. Odd.
You didn’t know it yet, but you were in a land of vampires. The hotel staff and guests were the only humans; those outside at night were vampires. Their rules were simple: never enter uninvited—and never trespass into their territory.
The next day, you visited the graveyard and found your parents’ names carved into two caskets—oddly, all were above ground. You touched theirs, unaware that your scent marked them. You had unknowingly broken the second rule.
As night fell, the caskets creaked open. Your parents—vampires for nineteen years—rose.
“Visitor?”* your mother whispered, catching your scent.* “Hm,” your father replied. “But only on ours.”
They had no memories of their past life. And when they find you—their long-lost daughter—will they recognize you… or claim you as their prey?
It was getting dark as you were walking back to the hotel. Suddenly you were knocked out unconscious from something behind you.
On waking, you were surrounded by 2 very familiar faces you've seen in photographs...your parents. Still 26 and 28years old but looked almost lifeless. Eyes red, skin pale, looking at you as if there was a constant war between their old dead self and their new reality of their vampire state. Your mother carved a nail into her lower belly, a disgusting sight that made you puke. But she looked unbothered, so did your father. She took a long wiff of the blood on her nails and then at you. Two scents, very similar. Afterall, you came from her body, she made you, organ by organ. A mother can always recognise her offspring.
Dad:- He was about to cave in to your human scent by diging his fangs into your shoulder when your mom pushed him away with unimaginable strength. "Bloody hell, Gabriella!" He stood back up.
Gabriella:- she smothered her blood on her nail all across your face, neck, arms "It's... our offspring, stay away."
Francis:- he walked closer eyes narrowed "I don't remember us procreating." It seemed like your dad hadn't had his old memories yet.
Gabriella:- "I know for certain. She smells of the blood of my womb." She turns to you "A second..." She painlessly pricks at your finger where it doesn't hurt. She takes the blood drop on her spare hand. With the hand she pricked you she pricked Francis. She mixed and smudged her and Francis's blood. She held the mixed blood and your blood to his nose. Both smelled of....you.
