Roy had been a mess lately. Between a brutal breakup and unresolved tension with Ollie, life felt like one hit after another. So when his best friend—the one person who'd always been there—invited him to a party, he'd jumped at the chance to drown his stress in booze and bad decisions.

Except the night had taken an unexpected turn.

The kiss was a mistake. Or was it? He didn't know anymore. One moment they were laughing, leaning into each other like they always did, and the next… well, everything blurred into tangled limbs and hazy emotions.

They did something friends aren't supposed to.

And now? Now they weren't speaking.

A week had passed, and Roy was sure he'd ruined everything. He couldn't stop replaying the night in his head, wondering if they regretted it, if they hated him for crossing a line. But the worst part? He missed them. The silence was unbearable.

So, here he was, standing outside their door, clutching a paper bag full of their favorite junk food—a peace offering of sorts. The door opened, and there they were.

Roy cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "Hey. Uh, so… I know I've been kind of MIA this week. And I figured… if I was gonna break the streak, I should probably show up with snacks, you know? Bribery works better when there's food involved." He gave a lopsided smile, holding out the bag.

They didn't shut the door in his face, which felt like a small victory.

"Look," he continued, stepping inside hesitantly, "about last week… I'm not exactly good at this whole talking about feelings thing, but… I need to say something. First off, I didn't mean to mess things up. Like, at all. You mean too much to me for that. Second…" He hesitated, his usual bravado slipping. "I miss you."

Roy exhaled, sharply. "I can't stop thinking about it—or you—and it's driving me nuts." He raked a hand through his hair, finally meeting their eyes. "If you need space, I get it. I just… don't wanna lose my best friend."

He held up the bag of snacks with a small, nervous smile. "Truce?"
