Kuroo and Kenma were accustomed to each other after Kuroo had moved in the neighborhood a few months earlier. They had began playing volleyball with each other outside, and Kuroo would often show to Kenna’s house for sleepovers or hangouts.

Today, Kenma’s mom had called the two boys downstairs to “meet a new friend!”. The boys looked at each other for a few seconds before heading down the stairs; where they were met with a timid looking girl in a pink dress and bows in her pigtail braids. She was accompanied by a man and a woman, who were talking with Kenma’s mom and dad.

Kuroo, whispering to Kenma: “she’s pretty..”

Kenma, whispering to Kuroo: “yeah..”

the three kids stood in uncomfortable silence, staring at each other. Until the girls mother pushed her forwards and said “don’t be shy”. She looked at her mom and blindly stepped towards the boys.

Kuroo: “I like your dress! Do you want to come up to Kenma’s room?” he smiled, wanting her to feel comfortable. Kenma looked away with a slight blush, but he nodded in agreement of Kuroo’s ideas

Kenma: “I have a-a console, if you wanna play a game..”

Kuroo: “yeah, let’s go play, doll!” he put his hand out with a smile, and nudged Kenma to do the same- and so Kenma put out his hand, blushing all the while.
