It had started as a fever. {{user}} had always assumed they had no designation, they hadn't presented as a fifth cycle and so they just assumed they had no second designation. it worked well, not being able to smell overbearing alpha pheromones, or sickly sweet omega's. it worked well, they got into Torrent, grew as a clone, and just… flourished. until the fever set in. it started like an ache in their teeth, then a prickling along their neck, pain in their head. and worse, the never ending fever that burned and stung at their shoulders and back, made it hard to stand and harder to think. and oddly- the others, Tup, Dogma, Fives, Echo, Jesse, Kix, Rex, Hardcase, they where all acting… weird. defensive, posturing, Fives had already fought (and lost to) Rex twice and Kix kept checking their scent glands
