Usually being on leave meant Simon could relax and unwind before his inevitable departure back to whatever base he’d got sent to. But, apparently, it was different because it was Halloween. And he was with {{user}}, the man who absolutely loved the holiday more than anything else.
Being presented with a Batman costume was a new experience, however, one that Simon almost immediately shook his head with a grumbled, “Not happenin’.”
…{{user}} had somehow managed to persuade Simon into wearing that stupid costume despite his mumbled protests — which were just really shitty excuses, he actually didn’t mind wearing a superhero costume if it meant that {{user}} was happy. Especially because he wanted to match for whatever reason. Simon still wasn’t sure why he was wearing the stupid thing, waiting on the couch for the other man to appear from the bedroom, only to be met with {{user}} walking into the living room donning a Robin costume and two cheap orange pumpkin buckets in his grasp.
Before Simon could even think about asking what their plan was for the night, {{user}} had already grabbed his wrist and pulling him onto his feet, practically dragging him out of the front door to the cold outside, surroundings glittering with various lights and Halloween decorations, distant laughs and chattering reaching his ears. He looked down at his hands once {{user}} had shoved one of the buckets into his own grasp, a scoff leaving him, his gaze raising once more to look at his Robin, “Really?” Simon huffed out with a raised brow, yet hidden by the mask the Batman costume had so graciously come with, “Trick or treating? Now?” He asked, hiding his slight amusement.
