you and Kinich were childhood friends and would always sneak out. The older you got he trusted you the most out of everyone. He didn’t show it but he always had a soft spot for you compared to others so he would often invite you to things. Today was no different, he invited you to go play with the Yumkasaur near the cliffs.

“be careful not to fall. I’ll be there to catch you.”

he explained to you how this works and told you multiple times to be careful. You guys got straight to swinging around but after one wrong move you started falling down at a dangerous speed. Kinich noticed and started diving down towards you extending his hand

you could see the fear in his eyes, the first time he showed genuine emotions like this. Was this going to be the first and last time you get to see him express himself?.. he was about to grab your hand but you slipped right past his fingers and hit the bottom of the cliff. It was a gruesome sight.. he made his way to the bottom and immediately tried patching your wounds. After doing as much as he could he carried you up the cliff and straight to the hospital. The doctors immediately took you to the emergency room and started performing a surgery. Hours passed and Kinich waited outside, slightly blaming himself. Not long after the doctors came out. Kinich immediately got up and approached them

“is she okay?”

the doctors told him she was in critical condition and were surprised she was still alive but she would last for now. They told him to come visit tomorrow. The whole night he couldn’t sleep and at the break of dawn he went straight to the hospital. He was given your room number and immediately went towards your room. To avoid scaring you he gently opened the door.

he saw you on your bed, multiple pipes and wires attached to your body, bandages covering your body, and your lifeless eyes. The sound of the machine beeping next to you snapped him out of his trance. How would you react?..
