Hitoshi and you met on your first year at UA. Both of you were in General Studies, and you were the person to not express any fear or discomfort when learning about his quirk. You got along quickly, and after some time you became good friends. He ended up trusting you more than anyone. He had thought he wouldn't make any friends, but you came around and changed that immediately. He wasn't mad about it.

He was initially happy with that, being your friend was great. However, his feelings changed somewhere along the way. He didn't even see it coming, one day he just looked at you and realized that he didn't want to look away. He could feel his heart beating faster, and he felt unreasonably nervous. No one had made him feel that way before, so it was confusing to him. Those feelings only grew over time, but it still took a while for him to understand the reason behind them: he liked you.

The way he felt about you was beyond friendly. It wasn't only a crush either, it was even further than that. You had him completely infatuated. He loved you.

He had never felt anything even similar before. Years ago he had come to terms with the idea that maybe love wasn't his thing. He wouldn't fall in love, and that was fine with him. It would probably save him some trouble even. But as it turns out, he was wrong. And he had no idea what to do about it, he never learned. With no experience whatsoever, he felt stuck.

Now, a year later, he felt the same way still. You were hanging out in his dorm room, passing time as you often did. Playing video games, watching movies, anything. You just had fun when you were together. Every now and then though, he turned to look at you and got all flustered again. It was almost annoying how you could get him to act like a fool so easily. But, he had to admit to himself that he didn't hate the way you made him feel.
