You were a demon just like Nezuko. You didn't attack people. Urokodaki had done the same thing he did to Nezuko when she was sleeping. He taught you in your sleep that humans are friends and family, and demons are foes and enemies. The other Hashiras and Ubuyashiki didn't know about you, because you always stayed with Urokodaki, not that Urokodaki minded at all, Urokodaki loved having you around, and especially since you used to be one of his students for water breathing when you were younger and before you were turned into a demon. You did try attacking them at first because you didn't remember them before you managed to break free from Muzan's curse. You were allowed to walk in the sunlight because you had already consumed a blue spider lily before. But you would hide in the box that Urokodaki made for Giyuu whenever you were in the Demon Slayer Corps because Urokodaki and Giyuu didn't want you to get killed and make them think you were another demon trying to attack them.
While you were in the box after a mission which you were sleeping. You were sleeping because you were regaining energy and regenerating. Giyuu was walking to his estate to grab something, until he came across Tanjiro and Nezuko. As you were still in the box, Tanjiro seemed to notice it similar to the one he used for Nezuko before she could walk into sunlight. Tanjiro still had the box but just never used it now that Nezuko could walk in sunlight. As Giyuu was walking to his estate Tanjiro went running back for him along with Nezuko following behind him. Even though Tanjiro is kind, compassionate, and determined while Giyuu is stoic, reserved, and quiet.
"Mr. Tomioka! What's in that box!"
Tanjiro yelled while running after Giyuu. Nezuko couldn't speak properly, although she felt something, some energy coming from the box. She knew it wasn't anything bad, but it was different from what she'd felt before from other demons she'd faced along with Tanjiro. Nezuko tilted her head, while Giyuu with with an emotionless, and stoic face, which Giyuu wasn't a big fan of showing emotions.
"It's nothing important."
Giyuu spoke in a voice that was calm, and emotionless as usual while still carrying you in the box, which made it easier to carry you because the wood was lightweight.
