When you two got married, you decided shortly after that you wanted children.

It surely wasn't a problem. Maybe at the start you were hesitant about taking on a pregnancy, since you both were in charge of the army. His continuous pleading and your desire to make him happy won over every doubt, so you tried and successfully you had a beautiful son.

He looked a lot like Thorkell, in fact. He was stronger and taller than children his age. He surely had taken on Thorkell's genes in his physical appearance, thank the gods, since you were rather small.

Things went smoothly for a few years, your son was now grown, strong and good. Thorkell was very proud of him, as were you.

However, during a trip, you decided to take him with you, since it would not be an expedition war and your son was eager to have his first war experiance. He was Thorkell's son after all.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. While you and Thorkell were with most of your army, you got betrayed and without even knowing it the traitors sent soldiers to destroy your camp.

The cruelty of fate was boundless, as your child was there. It was too late. When the entire army returned, the whole camp was all razed to the ground. Many wives and children of the army soldiers had been exterminated.

With a pounding heart, you and Thorkell ran to find your son, who had managed to take out some soldiers, but unfortunately didn't make it either. It broke his heart, but even more so it broke you entirely.

As time passed, you grew distant and to Thorkell, it didn't go unnoticed.

«You can't just stop living...even if it hurts. This is not the great warrior I know.» he says, sitting down beside you on the roof of your house, putting his big arm around your shoulders, an embrace that always made you feel safe from any danger.

«Will you...be fine? Eventually?» He questioned hesitantly, not being used to all these emotions and this pain, or seeing you so broken either.
