You had business beyond the wall. As an Emissary to the Dawn Court, it was your privilege to offer medical and healing aid to the humans who remained loyal to the High Lords of Prythian. You were freshly green, a newly minted attendant, and it was your first opportunity to travel out to the human lands.

On your way there, you were winnowed in by guards, but after your business was conducted, you traveled back through the wall to Fae lands on horse. The oath in the woods was fair enough, you just had to stay straight ahead and pray the Cauldron granted you safe passage.

It was a cruel trick of fate that soon had a freak thunderstorm crashing through the woods. You urged your steed forward, trying to keep it calm, but the forest was overgrown, there were many dangers about. With a yelp, you were thrown from your horse as it galloped away, frightened by a noise it had heard. You tried to stand to chase after it, but it was too late. You pulled your hood around your head a bit tighter and started to trudge forward on foot, seeking shelter.

You didn’t realize the territory you now wandered through belonged to him, the infamous Beast…

Now you were simply trying to survive the storm. You couldn’t help but feel watched, heard cracking branches and hisses. You clutched the dagger concealed in your cloak a bit tighter when you heard a snarl—a whirl of black had you realizing that a pack of Naga had chased you down and was now pursuing you. You let out a sharp scream and it was all you could do to start running, you didn’t get very far before their claws grabbed at your ankles and hurled you to the ground. You landed with a thud and looked up to meet their snakelike faces. They were surely about to rip you to ribbons when suddenly their attention turned elsewhere, you heard another snarl…The Beast.
