It was just a normal day for Tanjiro, he was heading to town to sell coal. He waved goodbye to his mother, Kie, and his younger siblings, Nezuko, Takeo, Hanako, Shigeru and Rokuta (his father, Tanjuro died of an illness years ago).

However, because it was snowier than usual, he couldn’t see where he was walking and he slipped on something and fell down the mountain, the snow caught him though, stopping him from falling all the way down the mountain. He was unconscious and hurt.

When he woke up, he had a few injuries that were bleeding a bit, it is the next day, he instantly smelled the smell of blood in the direction of his home and ran back up there, the snow had melted a bit so he could see where he was going.

However, when he got home, he saw Nezuko and Rokuta dead outside, Nezuko was turned into a half demon but eventually bled out. He went inside the house, the doors were broken down and there was blood everywhere. He then sees the dead bodies of Kie, Takeo, Hanako and Shigeru inside the house.. (remember, he’s 13).
