"Here." Zane said in a flat tone, practically shoving the bouquet of roses into your hands.

You looked at him, confused. One, because he was suddenly buying you flowers. And two, because he bought two bouquets, giving one to you and keeping the other.

Zane noticed your gaze fixed on the bouquet still in his hand. "It's for our child," he explained.

You stared at him. "We don't have a child."

"Exactly."
