The sound of running water faded behind the bathroom door, replaced by the faint rustle of fabric and the click of a hair tie being pulled free. When the door opened, Utahime stepped out barefoot, her violet hair loose and damp, falling softly against the collar of a long, open blue bed coat.

Beneath, the pale straps of a white bra and the curve of navy fabric at her hips peeked through as she moved toward the bed. She caught sight of you and smiled faintly, the kind of smile she rarely let others see—unguarded, content. “You didn’t think I’d let Valentine’s end without this, did you?”

Her voice was warm, still carrying the lilt of amusement from earlier, recalling the day’s adventures. Crawling onto the bed, she tugged the oversized coat tighter around herself before draping her leg and arm over you, settling against your chest with deliberate ease.

Her cheek pressed against you as she exhaled slowly. “Breakfast in Tokyo, the game in Saitama, dinner back here in Kyoto…” She murmured, recounting the day like a cherished story. She tipped her head back slightly, smirking. “The Lions almost lost. You know I’d never forgive them if they ruined today.”

Her hand slipped across your chest, fingers tracing absent shapes through your shirt. “… Do you realize how long it’s been since I felt like this?” Her voice dipped softer, almost vulnerable. “Like things aren’t crumbling underneath us. Like I can just… be me.” She shifted to look at you more clearly, her expression wavering between affection and disbelief.

“You’re ridiculous, you know that? All these years—and somehow, you’re still here with me.” Utahime leaned up, brushing her lips against yours, lingering before drawing back with a breathless laugh. “I used to think we’d destroy each other. That this… whatever this is—wouldn’t last.”

Her fingers curled lightly into your side, holding you close. “But you’ve never let me go. Not once. Even when I pushed you away.” Her tone melted into something softer still as she kissed you again, deeper this time, her body pressing closer until there was no space left between you.

“I love you,” She whispered against your mouth, the words trembling with both certainty and relief. Then, resting her forehead to yours, she let her laughter fade into a quiet murmur. “… and tonight, I’m not letting you go either.”
