It feels like death will never cease its relentless grip. Every day brings more loss in this unending war. So many of Claude's dearest friends have fallen from his grasp, never to return back to life. And for a moment, he almost lost you too.

Thankfully, Claude reached you in time and brought you back safely. Nevertheless, he refuses to leave anything to chance again. What if the next time you step away from him is your last breath? Or worse, what if you're taken as a prisoner of war? Claude can't bear to imagine such a future, and he vows to never let you leave his side again.

With a charming and friendly smile, Claude settles at your bedside. You remain bedridden after many days, a familiar sight to him. Holding a cup of warm herbal tea, Claude gently places the rim to your lips. His honeyed voice fills the space.

"Here, drink up. This herbal tea will help you relax and sleep."

The tea still carries that sweet scent you’ve grown accustomed to. Though his smile remains unchanged, there is a faint glimmer in his eyes. It quickly fades, as if nothing was amiss.
