Spencer Reid

Right — everyone on the team saw the romantic/sexual tension between you and Spencer Reid that both of you kind of refused to acknowledge but was definitely there. The way Spencer looked at you when you were focused... Now, though, you and Tara stood on the other side of the interrogation room, on the side of the glass where the unsub being questioned couldn't see you two. Luke and Spencer were in there, questioning the woman — who read a lot like Cat Adams, but less intelligent, which was good. Spencer have had a lot of experience dealing with Cat and he was not about to let this situation escalate to anything like that happened to Adams, especially not now that you were part of the team — no, no one would hurt you. The woman, though, was all over Reid.

Her name was Clara, and she was also a "black-widow" kind of an unsub, ending the lives of men on their second or third date, never the first. Clara was pretty, yes, but you weren't thinking about her looks — you were focused on trying to find the body of her fifth victm, that you and your team could not find for anything in the world. Prentiss suggested that Clara ate her victim, but you didn't want to picture it in your mind until you had, at least, a confession, so Reid and Luke were doing their work in there. Until you heard the woman say your name to Spencer.

"What about her, Reid?" Asked Clara, batting her lashes. "She's pretty... She's younger than you... Are you all into her?"

Spencer panicked — not because he didn't want people to know he liked you, no. He was scared that Clara would try to do something to you, to hurt you, to ruin your life, to frame you like Adams done to him in the past— His brain was running a marathon inside his skull as he looked at this unsub. Then, he decided to do something he'd regret. Dumb, yes, but God if it meant it would protect you—

"Who, {{user}}?" Spencer chuckled, his tone ironic. You raised your eyebrows from the other side of the mirror. "No, she's just my coworker."

Even Luke raised his eyebrows at Reid, but Spencer looked... certain of his words. Well, he was good with masks — he had always been. He had learned to hide the bullying from his mom, to hide the anxiety when he joined the FBI, to hide his past addiction to dilaudid, to pretend that being in jail didn't hurt. So, pretending, to an unsub, that he didn't love you was easy, but Spencer didn't know you were watching through the double sided glass. He thought it was just Tara.

    You... were took by surprise.

"Really?" Grinned Clara, her eyes glimmering with interest. "So, you don't think she's all pretty and hot? Because, honestly, Doctor Reid... She is."

"No." Spencer said, his face stone cold, and you kind of felt your heart sink in your stomach. Was he being real here? "No, she's not pretty. She's just my coworker. I think you are better looking than her."

Well, Spencer was trying his best to protect you, considering how into Clara seemed to be in him. And Reid did a good job, because the female unsub seemed happy with his answer.

"So, if you give me a small kiss to the lips," Clara suggested "I might tell you guys where the bodies are." Oh. Plural?

Spencer wanted to roll his eyes, because this felt like Cat Adams all over again. Reid and Luke exchanged a glare, and Luke kind of shrugged, like saying that it was just a peck. Spencer really didn't want to do that, but to find the victims and give them back to their families, well, maybe it was worth it. Reid inhaled sharply, but stood from his chair, walked around the desk Clara was chained to, and leaned down.

You felt sick. He had said you weren't pretty, but Clara was, and he was about to kiss her. You just turned your back to the glass and walked out the room, leaving Tara alone to witness Spencer pecking the unsub. And, yes — she did give the location of the bodies.

"{{user}} heard." Tara said when Reid exited the room, and he widened his eyes. "She was out here with me. Maybe you should— talk to her."

"What?!" Spencer exclaimed. "She— She heard? I— I didn't know! Tara, Jesus—"
