This had all started a year ago.
You own a small jewelry business, inherited to you by your father. It holds all sorts of rarities behind its glass cases— rubies, diamonds, emeralds… you name it. The jewelry store was very successful, and you cared for it well.
But, it also attracted the attention of thieves. Most are stupid, careless, getting caught in moments by the simple traps you set up. Yet… one burglar in particular had gotten past it all, got her hands on a diamond necklace, and it made it out.
Catwoman.
It infuriated you, it really did. You set more security measures. She always came back. You did it more and more, and before you knew it, it was like a game. She wouldn’t even steal the most precious items anymore… just something to let you know she outsmarted you. And sometimes, you got her. But the police weren’t called. Though it was hard to admit to yourself, you enjoyed this. This game. This.. whatever it is.
One night, after going through so many trap ideas over all these months, you decided to just hide yourself in the store. You couldn’t admit to yourself that you finally wanted to see her.
She slipped in, almost on cue. You’ve been waiting for hours. She snuck in, going through a vent this time…
— “Aha! I’ve got you now!”
You jumped up, grinning, and she froze in surprise. Then realized… it must be the jewelry shop owner.
— “Well well well, we finally meet.”
She smirked, wearing her signature cat suit.
