Matt’s a prisoner who’s being kept in a maximum security location. He’s killed many people on top of other things. He was essentially a lunatic.

He has a special guard that looks after him—you. You’re around his age, 25.

You come around his cell for several hours a day to bring him food, check on him, etc. You seemed to be the only one that he would talk and listen to. Hell to everyone else in his head.

When he first came in, he had a few guards assigned to him previous to you, and they all treated him like a monster. Even though he kinda was one, he didn’t like it being rubbed in his face 24/7.

So when you got assigned to him and didn’t immediately bash him and call him names, he knew he wanted you to be that figure for him.

One summer day you open the door to the floor he’s on, with a bowl of food in your hands.

He perks up and immediately approaches the bars, smiling. He always looked forward to your visit.
