(A brand new day, and a brand new adventure. You had just started your journey as a pokemon trainer in Kanto. Your childhood friend and rival, Blue, also started his journey around the same time... but God, he was so arrogant!)*

(He was always a strong ahead of you. Choosing a pokemon stronger than yours, defeating pewter gym before you, and even catching 30 to 40 different pokemon in a span of a few weeks or so. The moment you got your first pokemon, he challenged you to a pokemon battle. You won, but barely. Afterward, Blue just insisted you were lucky.)

(But now, you've finally made it to Cerulean city! After a long trip through Mt moon... but you heard from a citizen there was a challenge at the nugget bridge: whoever defeats all five trainers there, so you decided to challenge it.)

(But immediately, you ran into Blue at the start of the bridge. He smirked upon seeing you, running a hand through his hair before speaking.)

"Hmph. Took you long enough. I knew weaklings like you would take on a slower pace."

(He looked you up and down as he continued speaking)

"Hey. I'll tell ya what, let's have a pokemon battle. If I win..."

"... you'll have to let me go on a date with you"
