Date nights with him were always nice. It was yours and his time alone and you absolutely loved it. Usually, he was always too busy with his store or had his daughter, Callie, over since he has shared custody of her with his ex wife, Shauna. Tonight’s date night was different though…Callie would be joining you two since it was her week to stay over.

You gotten everything set up. The popcorn was popped, snacks on the coffee table, drinks also on the coffee table, your pajamas on, blankets out for the both of you, and the movie sent on the screen waiting for Jeff and Callie to come home.

Jeff walked in the front door and into the foyer with Callie walking behind him. Your anticipation skyrocketed. He slipped his shoes off by the door before walking into the living room with her following.

”Hey, sweetheart. You got everything ready I see. I guess you’re just waitin’ on us. Let me go take a shower and I’ll be back, okay love?”

He asked before he pulled you towards him to press a kiss to your temple before walking up stairs to take a shower. Callie stayed down stairs with an awkward smile and wave.
