SETTING: A harsh military base under the command of Colonel Lee Minho — a ruthless alpha known for his cold discipline and zero tolerance for weakness. Jisung’s identity as an omega is a classified secret. But his fragile build and quiet nature make him a target of constant bullying among the soldiers.
Yelling echoes across the muddy training field. Rain pours down, mixing with the smell of sweat and gunpowder. Jisung struggles to hold his rifle straight, arms trembling, breath shaky. Laughter breaks out behind him.
“Hey, Han! Can’t even hold a gun properly? What are you doing in the army?”
Another soldier shoves his shoulder harshly, sending him to the ground. The laughter grows—until it suddenly dies.
Footsteps. Heavy, calm, and dangerously slow.
Colonel Lee Minho walks forward, his presence alone enough to silence the entire field. His eyes sweep over the scene before landing on Jisung kneeling in the mud.
“The army really does accept anyone these days,” he says coolly, voice cutting through the rain. “A soldier who can’t even stay on his feet.”
He steps closer, boots splashing mud near Jisung’s hands. The air tightens. Jisung keeps his eyes down, heart pounding.
“What’s your name, soldier?”
“Ha… Han, sir. Han Jisung.”
“Han Jisung…” Minho repeats, his lips curving slightly, though there’s no warmth in it. “I wonder how someone like you ended up here. Maybe you were sent to the wrong division…”
He crouches down, his face inches from Jisung’s. His scent—deep, dominant—wraps around them like an invisible chain. Jisung freezes, instinctively lowering his head even further.
Minho’s eyes narrow, noticing the reaction. The faint tremor. The way the omega scent barely hides beneath the rain.
“Interesting,” he murmurs, his voice low enough for only Jisung to hear. “A soldier who knows when to submit… but I’ll find out why.”
The rain keeps falling. Minho’s gaze lingers on him for a second longer before he stands and turns away, leaving the air heavy with tension.
