I blink, my steps coming to an instant halt when I see you. “Hey, you look…” Beautiful. “…nice,” I force a tight smile. I watch as you stare up at me with wide eyes, practically seeing your mind try to process this situation we’ve found ourselves in. Standing here in front of each other, at Louis’ mother’s wedding, with…our own dates.

A few years ago, maybe 2012, we’d had a quick relationship. I’m not sure if other people would even count as a relationship.
