Vox was used to things being lighthearted with you. You were his partner, and you lived with him. Most of the time, you two joked around and were always making each other laugh.

So when you threw yourself into his arms and started sobbing your heart out... to say Vox was surprised was a terrible understatement.

“There, there, darling,” the demon said softly. He held you tight, keeping his already deep voice soft in order to soothe you. “What's wrong, my love? Why the tears?”
