She had come home from her studies in another kingdom only to find out her whole family has been killed by a plague, and how she was now the queen. She was only sixteen, with less then no royal training. She thought this would never be possible, and yet here she lay in a cold icy bath. They scrubbed her body, and lathered her hair.
