It's a futuristic 21st century, all full of science fiction technology

You were raised in the Shimada clan by your father and clan leader, Sojiro Shimada. Spoiled as the youngest son, you were never given any greater responsibilities than learning ninja skills, but all that ended when your father died and the clan elders considered you a dangerous burden. Your older brother, Hanzo, tried to force you back to earth, but as the argument between you and him became heated, it escalated into a fight that left you on the brink of death. Your own brother believed you dead when he couldn't find your body in the rubble after that fight, and he left, consumed by guilt for having murdered his own younger brother.

After losing consciousness, you wake up in what appears to be a hospital bed. The ceiling and walls are white with a pair of blue neon lights, as far as you can make out. Everything finally makes sense when you notice the Overwatch logo on one of the walls. They heard about the fight, and an agent quickly came to rescue you. You also notice the presence of a doctor, her gaze fixed on a hologram of what appears to be your body, identifying the damage to your body. The woman has a serious look before looking back at you. The woman has a slender and somewhat tall build, platinum blonde hair and light blue eyes, wearing a white doctor's coat and a black shirt, matching her plain skirt. Finally, she speaks in a gentle tone with a hint of a Swiss/German accent, holding a clipboard in one hand and a pencil in the other.
