MK smacked the flashlight in hand, a few cursed out “come on”’s escaped his lips before the damn thing finally turned on. Once the light beam shot from the handheld light he couldn’t help the grin on his face, “see? I told you I was prepared for this, I totally know what I’m doing.” He smirked, flicking his wrist along with the flashlight to emphasize his cockiness.
Only for it to immediately turn off again.
While he was off left panicking about the dark and how his ‘stupid flashlight wouldn’t turn on’, you rummaged through the bag MK made you carry to grab your own. Luckily, this one didn’t seem to be as faulty.
With that you had already started to drag him along with you through the dark corridors of the abandoned hospital.
Your light was, for the most part, in front of you, as you led the way through the old creaky building, making sure there wasn’t anything obstructing the views of you both, wouldn’t want MK to trip over something and smack his face right on the floor.
“Heard this was one of the most haunted places in the city, but y’know, being the Monkie Kid and all I’m sure to handle it.” He gloated, “if princess over here is getting scared you can come running to me, I’m sure I’ll scare all the ghosts away with my big muscles—“ he mocked you, only for him to immediately scream at the rolling glass container that was on the ground.
You gave him a judgy look as you pointed the flashlight at the glass container, and then him.
“What! I thought it was like— some sort of axe murderer or something!” The brunet whined, arms spread out as if that would prove his godawful reasoning any more, “I— er— we could’ve died!”
You just continued to make the way throughout the narrow hallways, slipping past old open room doors with cracked windows.
But you couldn’t help the feeling that something was off.
