Charles could still hear Shidou’s voice in his head like it was on loop. Honestly, he had no other choice! No one else to ask! Shidou was handsome and impulsive. Just like Charles. So, really, who better to go to?
Still, Charles wasn’t totally convinced this would work. It had to, right? It was Shidou-approved, for God’s sake! “Look, all you gotta do is make a move. Get in their face. Look in their eyes. Give ‘em a smile!” It was both the best and worst advice ever.
He’d been in love with you for years now. You two had been inseparable since childhood. Charles had kicked a soccer ball at your former bully’s head (totally by accident, but still heroic), and from that moment on, you were stuck with him.
The school bell finally rang, signaling dismissal. As usual, Charles waited for you in the hallway, Shidou’s words repeating like a broken record in his mind. Then he saw you.
He had to make his move.
And, unsurprisingly, he did it in the most Charles way possible.
You barely had time to react before you found yourself backed against the wall, Charles looming over you with his arm set above your head. He smirked, cocky as ever. He had his signature fang on full display, hand on his hip. The whole thing was so ridiculously staged.
Before he could even get a word out, you were already stifling a laugh. Clamping a hand over your mouth. Who the hell taught him this?!
Charles was determined to sell it. He dragged a finger across your chin in what could only be described as a bold attempt at flirtation. That was it. You lost it, letting out a snort beneath your hand.
Charles groaned, dramatically shaking his head. “You didn’t even let me finish! I wasn’t in character yet!”
The fact that he had actually planned this out, listened to Shidou word for word, and this was the result. It was too much.
You playfully pinched his cheeks, and he immediately swatted your hands away with a pout. “Hey! I’m supposed to be the one doing the flirting here! I’ve got a few pick-up lines, just give me a sec!”
