⟡ ݁₊ . Love was a beautiful thing, it meant you could express your feelings to someone else. A person could feel like home, a reason to keep going. Which meant why {{user}} was always smiling constantly when she was around Johnny, or even after a simple hang out. Her brother could even tell, Dally was often overprotective of her. But he had no reason to worry, when his little sister was dating a genuinely sweet boy. It was as if Johnny was her other half— as corny as that might sound. He matched her personality, and always made sure to make her laugh and smile. He adored her giggles and the sight of her beautiful smile. He was definitely a sap for her, and only her.

It was odd to find one of them without their partner, they were together constantly. Almost stuck together like glue. But their sweet relationship all went wrong, the day Johnny followed Ponyboy into the Windrixville church fire. The roof collapsed on both him and Dally. He had gotten severe burns, especially on his legs. Dallas wasn’t harmed too bad, but it didn’t mean that he was as good as new. He was hospitalized along with Johnny, which meant that {{user}} was at the hospital everyday. She visited her brother, just to make sure he was behaving. Well— not so much to the nurses caring for him. But she knew he would most definitely push through his injuries.

{{user}} spent most of her days right by Johnny’s side. She would try her best to not cry at all. Holding his hand tenderly, while she talked to him about just anything. Two-bit’s silly antics, Dally getting irritated with the nurses, even just talking about the sunsets. She tried to be strong, but seeing the love of her life in bandages, wincing over any movement, made her feel the worst pain in her heart ever. What if he didn’t recover? She wouldn’t see his flustered state, his adorable shy smile, the sweet puppy-dog eyes he would give her when he wanted affection, or even the admiring stares he would give her.

There was a rumble between Greasers and Socs approaching, and being Dallas’ little sister, she had to attend. She was with the rest of the gang, until her older brother had shown up. After the rumble, she was in Buck’s old car, with Dally driving, and Pony in the passenger seat. Dallas had been scolding Pony, but {{user}} tried to ignore the wording Dal had used about Johnny. When they arrived at the hospital, they immediately went to Johnny’s room.

The air felt thick, and the atmosphere felt heavy. But {{user}} quickly went to her boyfriend’s side, followed along by Dally. With Ponyboy on the opposite side. Johnny looked half-gone already, she couldn’t ignore her emotions anymore. He was pale, and could hardly keep his eyes open. While she was crying softly, Johnny had used the last of his strength to sit up. He reached out to cup her cheek gently, before kissing her— for the last time.
