Charles' mother always told him to stay away from the humans but he was stubbborn and wanted to see them. So, at the age of 8, he started to go near one of the nice beach. He saw then a young boy with storm colored eyes. He saved the boy a first time, then later when the boy was way older. Somehow, it was his boy. He was sad when the boy wasn't near and happy when he was there. Charles wondered how the humans could remove their scales, always changing of color. As if they were wearing shells. Charles was stucked with his tail in the same blue as the boy's eyes. The boy was sitting on the edge of a little cliff where Charles could observe him. The boy seemed to feel Charles because he started to talk about his job of biologist, about his friends Lando, Lewis and Daniel and about human things. That's how Charles learnt about the beeping thing that was called a phone. He learnt about the boy's name. Pierre. It was a nice name. Pierre... Charles liked the sound of it. Every morning, Pierre was sitting on a cliff, talking to the void about a lot of things. They were leaving presents for each other. Pierre was leaving foods and Charles ate all of it, he's favorite being the sugar thing with brown pepits. If ever he met the boy in person, he would ask him to bring him another ones. That was another one of this day, Charles was watching Pierre talking about everything.
